A big news has come out regarding Delhi Capitals’ young all-rounder Vipraj Nigam. This young cricketer, who performed brilliantly on the field, has had to face blackmailing. He has complained about this to the police and said that he is continuously receiving threats from international numbers. Vipraj, originally a resident of Haidergarh area of Uttar Pradesh, reached Barabanki Nagar Kotwali police station on Sunday and lodged a written complaint about the entire incident. Vipraj Nigam came into limelight from IPL 2025, where he showed a strong performance.
Vipraj Nigam became victim of blackmailing
Vipraj Nigam has accused a girl of blackmailing and defaming her. Vipraj told the police that a girl was interfering in his personal life. The girl made unreasonable demands from him, if he refused, she threatened to make the video viral. When Vipraj Nigam blocked his number, he started receiving continuous calls and messages from international numbers. In these calls, warnings are being given to defame him and his family publicly. Vipraj says that all this is a well-planned conspiracy to destroy his career and break him mentally.
Vipraj reached the city police station and informed the police station in-charge Sudhir Kumar Singh about the entire incident. The police immediately took the complaint seriously and registered a case. Kotwal Sudhir Kumar Singh said that the digital evidence is being examined. Cyber cell has also been included to investigate call details, messages and related numbers. At the same time, due to international calls, cooperation from foreign agencies may be required in the investigation.

Vipraj Nigam played a total of 14 matches for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025. During this period he scored 142 runs at a strike rate of 179.74. Apart from this, he also took 11 wickets as a bowler.
