This record is in the name of Chennai Super Kings’ legendary batsman Murali Vijay. Vijay did this feat against Rajasthan Royals in the 2010 IPL edition. In that match, this right-handed batsman played a stormy innings and scored 127 runs in just 56 balls. On the basis of his innings, he took Chennai’s score to 246 runs. 11 sixes were hit from Vijay’s bat that day, which is still the highest number of sixes hit by an Indian player in an innings. He also hit 8 fours. Chennai won the match by 23 runs and Murali Vijay was chosen ‘Man of the Match’.

Sanju had hit 10 sixes against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2018. In that match, Sanju had scored 92 runs in just 45 balls.
