IPL Points Table 2026 Updated After MI vs DC and RR vs GT Matches: Rajasthan Royals (RR) moved to the top of the IPL 2026 points table after defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by 6 runs. Delhi Capitals (DC) jumped to the second position after beating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 6 wickets in Saturday’s IPL 2026 double header.
MI posted 162 runs in 20 overs after being asked to bat first by DC captain Axar Patel. Suryakumar Yadav smashed 51 runs off 36 balls, while Rohit Sharma (35) and Naman Dhir (28) also made valuable contributions. For DC, Mukesh Kumar picked up 2 wickets while Ngidi, Axar, Vipraj and Natarajan took one each.
Chasing the target, DC got off to a disappointing start as Deepak Chahar dismissed KL Rahul for 1 run in the first over. But Sameer Rizvi delivered another brilliant performance with the bat and smashed 90 runs off 51 balls. Pathum Nissanka also made a crucial contribution and scored 44 runs off 30 balls as DC chased down the target in 18.1 overs.
In the second match of the day, RR beat GT by 6 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium. RR posted 210 runs in 20 overs after opting to bat first. Dhruv Jurel smashed 75 runs off 42 balls, and Yashasvi Jaiswal also struck a fifty.
In reply, GT got off to a flying start as Sai Sudharsan and Kumar Kushagra forged a 78-run partnership for the opening wicket. Riyan Parag dismissed Kushagra for 18 runs in the eighth over, and Ravi Bishnoi removed Sudharsan for 73 runs in the 11th over.
GT’s middle-order struggled against Bishnoi, who took 4 wickets in the match. Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada stitched a 43-run partnership and took the match to the final over. But, Tushar Deshpande defended 11 runs in the last over to help RR win their second consecutive match.
