IPL 2026 Mock Auction: The wait for the mini auction for the IPL 2026 season is now about to end. This mini auction will be held on December 16 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This time a list of more than 350 players has been prepared, out of which only a maximum of 77 players can be bought by the ten franchise teams. These include both Indian and foreign cricketers, due to which tremendous competition is expected in the bidding.

CSK’s big bet before mini auction

Before the mini auction, Star Sports organized a mock auction, in which many former veteran players of Team India bid on behalf of ten teams. In this mock auction, the command of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was in the hands of former star Suresh Raina. Raina emphasized on strengthening the bowling department for CSK and spent huge amount on three important bowlers. In the mock auction, CSK spent a total of Rs 20 crore on three fast and spin bowlers.

The biggest bid was for leg spinner Rahul Chahar, who was bought for Rs 10 crore. After this, South African fast bowler Enrique Norkhia was included in the team for Rs 7.50 crore. At the same time, CSK showed its strategy to balance its pace attack by acquiring Indian young pacer Shivam Mavi for Rs 2.50 crore. CSK clearly focused on bowling. Let us tell you, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has Rs 43.40 crore in its purse, so it can be seen betting on many star players in the mini auction. It can buy a maximum of 9 players, out of which 4 can be foreign players.
