Mohit Sharma, who was a part of Delhi Capitals, announced his retirement.
The auction for the IPL 2026 season will be organized in Abu Dhabi on 16 December. But even before this time’s auction, the process of retirement or separation from IPL of many players has started. Some famous players who were released from their respective franchises have decided not to give their names in the auction this time. But a former Indian bowler has announced his complete retirement from cricket including IPL. Mohit, who played the World Cup for Team India and was a part of different IPL franchises, retired from all formats and levels of cricket.
Mohit Sharma, who hails from Faridabad, Haryana, posted a statement on social media accounts on Wednesday 3 December, in which he announced his retirement. In his statement, Mohit said, “Today with a full heart, I announce my retirement from all forms of cricket. From representing Haryana to wearing the Indian jersey and playing in the IPL, this journey has been no less than a blessing.”
