Bangladesh’s left arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman once again remained in the headlines in the auction. Kolkata Knight Riders included this T20 specialist in their team by making a huge bid of Rs 9.20 crore. 30 year old Mustafizur Rahman is famous for his slow cutter bowling. He played for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025, where he came as a replacement player due to the injury of Jake Fraser-McGurk. However, due to the rules of replacement players, Delhi could not retain him.

Mustafizur made his debut in IPL in 2016 and has played 60 matches so far, in which he has taken 65 wickets. The special thing is that he is the only non-Indian player who has received the IPL Emerging Player Award. He had received this honor while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016. In his IPL career, Mustafizur has been a part of teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings.
CSK got a big blow
Chennai Super Kings also showed a lot of interest in Mustafizur Rahman, they bid up to Rs 9 crore for this player, but despite this they could not buy him. Indian fans always remember Mustafizur Rahman because of MS Dhoni. Actually, during an India-Bangladesh match in 2015, when Dhoni was running to score runs, Mustafizur had come in the middle and Dhoni had made way for him by pushing him with his shoulder, due to which he fell down.
Apart from this, an exciting moment was seen between these two players in the 2016 T20 World Cup also. Where Dhoni brilliantly ran out Mustafizur Rahman on the last ball, giving India a 1-run win and showing Bangladesh the way out of the tournament.
