Why was Goa selected?

Goa was therefore selected as the venue for the mini-auction.
The smaller size of the event also made Goa a practical choice, according to the explanation provided by the IPL chairman.
Why will the IPL 2027 mini-auction last only one day?
The IPL 2027 auction will be different from a mega-auction.
In a mega-auction, franchises undergo significant changes to their squads and hundreds of players can enter the bidding process. Such auctions can therefore extend over two days.
A mini-auction, on the other hand, involves a much smaller number of available slots.
The 10 IPL franchises will retain the majority of their existing squads and will focus primarily on filling vacant positions and strengthening specific areas of their teams.
