IPL 2026: Rohit Sharma likely to miss next two matches for MI

New Delhi: In a major blow for Mumbai Indians, star player Rohit Sharma is likely to miss the next two matches for his team due to an injury. Rohit suffered a hamstring injury in the last clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru because of which he had to walk out off the field retired hurt and has not returned since.

As per a report in NDTV, it is being learnt that Rohit is certain to miss the next two fixtures for the five-time champions. MI lock horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Thursday and next play Gujarat Titans on April 20, Monday. Earlier it was reported that Rohit might feature in Thursday’s match as his injury is not that bad and a tear has not been seen in his scans.

But now as the latest report, the former Mumbai skipper will likely miss the next two clashes although there has been no confirmation yet from the franchise and coach.
