IPL 2026: Priyansh Arya, Cooper Connolly go bonkers to power PBKS to mammoth 254/7 vs LSG

New Delhi: It was carnage at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur as Punjab Kings (PBKS) batters Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly went bonkers against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday, April 19. Priyansh slammed 93 off just 37 balls, while Connolly scored 87 off 46 to power PBKS to a mammoth total of 254/7 in 20 overs.

Asked to bat first in the game, Priyansh and Connolly led the charge for the Punjab Kings after the hosts lost opener Prabhsimran Singh cheaply on a duck in the first over. The duo went all guns blazing in the Powerplay to take the LSG bowlers to the cleaners. It rained sixes in Mullanpur as Priyansh and Connolly made a mockery of the LSG bowling attack.

They added 77 runs together in the Powerplay before upping the ante further to take Punjab Kings over the 100-run mark in the ninth over. Priyansh and Connolly shared a brilliant 182-run stand for the second wicket to set the platform for a huge total for the Punjab Kings. Cameos from Marcus Stoinis (29) and Shashank Singh (17 off 6) steered the hosts to 254/7 in 20 overs.
