IPL Points Table 2026 Updated After RR vs SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad moved to the fourth position in the IPL 2026 points table after defeating Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on April 25. Batting first, RR posted 228/6 in 20 overs with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashing his first hundred of the ongoing season.
He hit 103 runs off 37 balls with the help of 12 maximums and five boundaries. Dhruv Jurel also scored a 35-ball fifty, smashing eight boundaries and one maximum. Chasing the 229-run target, SRH got off to a disappointing start as Jofra Archer removed Travis Head in the first over.
But Abhishek Sharma stitched a 132-run partnership for the second wicket to put the team in a winning position. Donovan Ferreira removed Abhishek for 57 runs in the 10th over, and Jofra Archer dismissed Kishan for 74 as RR looked to make a comeback in the match. But Nitish Reddy forged a 53-run partnership with Heinrich Klaasen to help SRH chase down the target in 18.3 overs.
In the first match on Saturday, Punjab Kings (PBKS) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by wickets to stay at the top of the standings. Batting first, DC posted 264/2 in 20 overs with KL Rahul smashing an unbeaten 152 runs off 67 balls, and Nitish Rana also scored 91 off 44 deliveries. Chasing the target, PBKS got off to a blistering start as Prabhsimran and Priyansh forged a 126-run partnership for the first wicket.
DC made a comeback in the match as Axar Patel removed Priyansh for 43 runs, and Kuldeep dismissed Prabhsimran for 76. Kuldeep picked up his second wicket of the match and removed Cooper Connolly as PBKS reached 147/3 in 10 overs. Vipraj Nigam, concussion substitute for Lungi Ngidi, dismissed Nehal Wadhera for 25 in the 15th over.
But the game-changing moment came when Karun Nair dropped a simple catch of Shreyas Iyer in the same over. They needed 62 runs off 30 balls, and Nair dropped Shreyas’ catch again in the 16th over at long-on. He stitched a 64-run partnership with Shashank Singh and smashed an unbeaten 71 runs off 36 deliveries as PBKS registered the highest successful run chase in T20 cricket.
