IPL Points Table 2026 Updated After LSG vs KKR: Kolkata Knight Riders moved to eighth position in the IPL 2026 points table after defeating Lucknow Super Giants in the Super Over at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on April 26.

Batting first, KKR posted 155/7 in 20 overs. Rinku Singh top-scored with an unbeaten 83 runs off 51 balls, and Cameron Green also amassed 34 off 21, but other KKR batters failed to contribute. For LSG, Mohsin Khan picked up five wickets.

Chasing the target, LSG got off to a disappointing start as Vaibhav Arora removed Mitchell Marsh for 2 runs in the second over. Aiden Markram stitched a 57-run partnership with skipper Rishabh Pant to keep LSG in the match. But they lost wickets at regular intervals and needed 17 off the final over.

Kartik Tyagi conceded 8 runs in the first two deliveries, but dismissed Himmat Singh for 19 runs on the third ball. LSG needed 7 off 2, and Tyagi bowled a dot delivery, but Mohammed Shami smashed a maximum over long-off on the final delivery to take the match into the Super Over.

Sunil Narine dismissed Nicholas Pooran (0) on the first ball, and Pant took a single on the next. Narine removed Markram (0) on the third ball as LSG set a two-run target for KKR. Rinku smashed a boundary on the first ball to help KKR secure two points.

In the first match on Sunday, Gujarat Titans (GT) jumped to fifth position after beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 9 wickets. After being asked to bat first, CSK posted 158/7 in 20 overs. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad smashed an unbeaten 74 runs off 60 balls, hitting six boundaries and four maximums. Samson, Urvil Patel, Sarfaraz Khan and Dewald Brevis failed to contribute with the bat, but Gaikwad stitched important partnerships with Shivam Dube, Kartik Sharma, and Jamie Overton to help CSK set a 159-run target for GT.

In reply, GT got off to a decent start as Sai Sudharsan stitched a 58-run partnership for the first wicket with Shubman Gill. The GT skipper was removed by Noor Ahmad for 33 runs in the seventh over, but Sudharsan added a match-winning 97-run partnership with Jos Buttler to help GT beat CSK by 9 wickets. Sudharsan smacked 87 runs off 46 balls, smashing 7 maximums and four boundaries.
