IPL 2026, CSK vs PBKS: In the seventh match of IPL 2026, Chennai Super Kings is facing Punjab Kings at its home ground MA Chidambaram Stadium. Chennai team, which has not been able to open its account yet in the season, is desperate to register its first win in this match. For this important match, Chennai Super Kings have made a major change in the playing eleven. The team has given a chance to 20 year old young all-rounder Prashant Veer to make his IPL debut. This decision is much discussed because Prashant Veer became one of the most expensive uncapped players in the IPL auction.

Prashant Veer got a big opportunity

Prashant Veer is a resident of Amethi district of UP. He is a left arm orthodox spinner and also bats aggressively. Chennai Super Kings bought him for Rs 14.2 crore in the IPL 2026 auction. This price is one of the biggest bids in IPL history for an uncapped player. Chennai management is considering him as a long-term alternative to Ravindra Jadeja. The young player’s fielding, spin bowling and ability to hit sixes in the lower order has impressed CSK.
