IPL 2026: Jamieson replaces Ngidi as DC make 3 changes; unchanged RCB opt to bowl

New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the toss and opted to bowl first against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday, April 27. DC made three changes in their playing XI, with Sahil Parekh replacing Pathum Nissanka and Dushmantha Chameera coming in place of Mukesh Kumar.

New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson replaced injured Lungi Ngidi in the DC’s playing XI. The South African fast bowler suffered a nasty head injury while attempting a catch in the match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).

The incident happened in the third over, when Priyansh Arya miscued a shot on Axar Patel’s delivery, and Ngidi stretched out but didn’t get his hands on the ball. He ended up tumbling backwards, and his head hit the ground hard. The pacer is stable and has been discharged from the hospital.
