IPL 2026, Blessing Muzarabani: This player’s entry in KKR in place of Mustafizur Rahman, will leave PSL and play IPL

Blessing Muzarabani: Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani will be seen playing for KKR in IPL 2026. He will replace Mustafizur Rahman in this team. The final seal has been given on Blessing Muzarabani’s joining KKR. Kolkata Knight Riders informed about this news on 13 March. IPL 2026 is starting from 28th March. KKR told that Muzarabani will join the franchise on March 17.

Muzarabani left PSL for IPL

Before joining IPL, Blessing Muzarabani was associated with PSL i.e. Pakistan Super League. He was a part of Islamabad United team there. But, Blessing Muzarabani withdrew his name from PSL to join KKR in IPL 2026. The big thing is that Blessing Muzarabani remained unsold in the PSL auction held last month. But, after that he was directly contacted by Islamabad United as a replacement for Shamar Joseph.

The Zimbabwean had gone unsold at the PSL auction last month but became a direct signing by Islamabad United as a replacement player for West Indies’ Shamar Joseph.

Will be seen in IPL for the second time

This will be the second time that Blessing Muzarabani will be seen in IPL. Earlier in IPL 2025, he was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB had also included him temporarily as a replacement.

Muzarabani in place of Mustafizur

Blessing Muzarabani will reach Kolkata on March 17 for IPL 2026. Earlier this year, KKR had terminated the contract of Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman and thrown him out of the league. KKR had bought Mustafizur for Rs 9.20 crore. KKR will start its campaign in IPL 2026 on March 29 against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium.
