Investors have confidence in India, till now FTA with 38 countries… PM Modi surrounded the ‘economic mismanagement’ of UPA

In an interview given to news agency PTI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his views on many issues including budget, India-US trade deal, FTA. During this, he also targeted Congress. Speaking on the budget, PM Modi said that the budget reflects the thinking of developed India. There is a resolve in the budget for India to become a developed nation. He said that this year’s budget is not a decision taken out of compulsion.

The Prime Minister said that the world’s trust in India is increasing. Investors now have more confidence in India and this confidence has increased due to political stability and reliable policies. PM Modi said that there was economic mismanagement during the UPA era. He said that during the UAP era, talks used to happen and then broke down. But this is not happening now. The PM said that till now free trade agreements have been signed with 38 countries.

Budget is not a step taken out of compulsion

The PM said that the budget is not a last resort or a step taken out of compulsion. Instead, it is a symbol of the country’s preparedness and enthusiasm, which shows that India is fully prepared for development. He said that due to the stable government in the country and its clear policies, the confidence of investors from all over the world in India has increased. Investors now know that India’s policies will not change suddenly.

What did PM say on FTA with 38 countries?

Speaking on FTA with 38 countries, the PM said that our strength lies in our strong manufacturing, service sector and small industries (MSME), which give us the power to bargain with other countries on an equal basis. The Prime Minister said that the security of the country is paramount. The government will not allow any shortage of budget to modernize the army and make it stronger and will take whatever necessary steps are required.

PM Modi told the main objective of FTA

Prime Minister Modi said that the objective of our FTA is to open foreign markets for small traders in sectors like textiles, leather, chemicals, handicrafts and gems so that they can easily sell their goods across the world. Targeting the UPA government, Prime Minister Modi said that the economic management during their time was not good, due to which India was not able to put forth its point strongly. At that time the talks started but could not reach any conclusion.

Government fully committed to economic reforms

Prime Minister Modi said that the present government is fully committed to economic reforms and this is visible not only in words but also in actions. The PM said that the private sector is very important for the next phase of the country’s economic progress. He appealed to the private sector to come forward and play a ‘strong role’ in the development of the country.

‘Reform Express’ has achieved massive progress

PM Modi said that the government has set a target of spending Rs 12.2 lakh crore on infrastructure for 2026-27. This is 5 times more than in 2013. The special thing is that instead of distributing free food items, the government is making such investments which will increase the strength of the country and create new jobs. The Prime Minister said that India is now moving forward at the speed of ‘Reform Express’. The focus of the government is to improve by changing old rules, promote new technology and make government work easier.

India is the leader of digital transactions in the world

Prime Minister Modi said that I strongly believe that women will play the most important role in building a developed India. Whatever decision the government takes, the welfare and progress of women is at the center of it. PM Modi further said that because of UPI, today India has become the leader of digital transactions in the world. It has completely changed the way the common man sends and receives money.

While talking on AI, the Prime Minister said that India is rapidly increasing data centers and super-computing power, so that in the coming times, we can remain at the forefront in the world of Artificial Intelligence. Data centers will create huge employment opportunities for our youth. We invite the entire world to shift its data to India.
