Inter-District UT-level competitions in Swimming (U-AAG Boys), Gatka (U-AAG Girls) and Soft Tennis (U-AAG Girls) commenced at different venues in Jammu today.
Around 300 young athletes from various districts of J&K participated in the competitions organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu.
The competitions were held at GD Goenka, Khel Gaon Nagrota and MA Stadium. DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma supervised the events.
In Swimming, the results were: 100m Backstroke U-14 Boys: Rhydian (Jammu) first, Zeeshan (Srinagar) second and Akshiv (Jammu) third; 200m Freestyle U-14: Devik Gupta (Jammu), Tanush (Jammu) and Hadi (Srinagar); 100m Butterfly U-14: Aryan Choudhary (Jammu), Mohd Alam (Srinagar) and Daiwik (Jammu); 100m Breaststroke U-17: Rajvardhan Singh (Jammu), Ibrahim (Srinagar) and Parvaiz Abbas (Srinagar); 200m Freestyle U-17: Pragnay (Jammu), Vivaan Sharma (Jammu) and Asrar (Srinagar); 100m Butterfly U-17: Aayan Sharma (Jammu), Adil Ali (Srinagar) and Adnan Hussian (Srinagar); 100m Breaststroke U-19: Madhav (Jammu), Hashim Ali (Srinagar) and Muneer Ali (Srinagar); 200m Freestyle U-19: Ayam Gandotra (Jammu), Madhav Sharma (Jammu) and Hasham Ali (Srinagar); and 50m Freestyle U-19: Samarth V Anand (Jammu), Mohd Abbas (Srinagar) and Vihan Goel (Jammu).
