Yami Gautam is making the best of the season, and her latest pictures could be your travel moodboard. Taking to Instagram, the actress recently posted photos from her Ladakh getaway, and she is definitely setting travel goals and how.

Yami accompanied her husband to Leh Ladakh, where he is currently filming his upcoming action thriller Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh.

Her trip wasn’t just about scenic beauty, but a spiritual and patriotic experience too. Gautam shared a carousel of heartfelt posts, from monasteries to war memories; the actress covered the best spots, hands down. One of the standout moments of her trips, which feels straight from the travel books, includes her visit to the iconic Thiksey Monastery. The destination is one of the largest and gorgeous monasteries in Ladakh.

Located 19 km from Leh, the capital town of Ladakh, Thiksey Monastery or Thiksey Gompa, the destination is situated on a hillock which overlooks the Indus Valley with breathtaking views. This 12-story place of worship houses 10 temples and an assembly hall. It is believed that the monastery resembles the famous Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet and the place is also called as Mini Potala.

She captioned the post with, “Visited the beautiful & one of the oldest monasteries- Thiksey Monastery! The experience of listening to the chants & prayers shall forever echo in my heart.”

Recently, Gautam with her family took a pause from the hectic schedule and visited the historic Patthar Sahib Gurudwara at Leh. She captioned the post, “Darshan at Patthar Sahib Gurudwara at Leh, devoted to Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji.” The post drew warm comments from the fans.

The actress also enjoyed some quiet time at the Grand Dragon Ladakh, which is one of the most luxurious hotels in the region. In the picture, she is seen hugging her mother. Another candid glimpse featured Yami enjoying a cup of chai against the rugged terrain of Ladakh and endless blue skies.

“The feeling of sipping Chai while nestled in the lap of the mighty mountainous terrain of Leh ❤️”, she captioned the post while describing the moment perfectly.

Adding a perfect patriotic layer to the trip, Yami also celebrated Independence Day at the Hall of Fame museum, which was built in honour of the brave Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the Indo-Pak conflicts.

For Yami and her fans, the trip is definitely more than just an experience. It presents a perfect blend of history, culture, family time, devotion and scenic views.
