What is inside Kaaba Sharif?
There are no gold and silver things inside the Kaaba. There is a bus empty room, marble floor, wooden pillars, Quran Sharif and the fragrance inside it. There is a large hall in the Kaaba, whose walls are covered with green embroidered sheet from above. The ground inside the Kaaba has white marble and there are three large wooden pillars that are holding the roof. There are some lantern and pampering hanging from its roof, which are made of copper, silver and glass. Also, Quran Sharif is kept there and some perfume bottles are also there.
When does Kaaba’s door open?
To enter the Kaaba, only one door is opened, which is called Bab-e-Kaaba. The door of Kaaba Sharif opens only twice a year, the rest of the year is closed throughout the year. Once before Ramadan and the second time after Haj i.e. in the month of Muharram, the Kaaba door is opened for cleanliness and fragrance. This is called ‘Gusl-e-Kaaba’. During this time, cleaning is done inside the Kaaba, perfume and ud are applied.
Who can go inside the Kaaba?
Not everyone gets a chance to go inside Kaaba Sharif. On the occasion of Gusl-e-Kaaba, only a few special people go inside such as the king of Saudi Arabia, his family, the Shaiba family and some selected guests. But this door does not open for the common people. The door of the Kaaba is made of gold and it is at a height of the ground.
Who has the key of Kaaba?
Kalma and Quran verses are written on Kaaba’s key. Kaaba Sharif’s lock and its keys are made of gold and nickel metal. You will be surprised to hear that only one family has the key of Kaaba for 1400 years. The name of this family is Shaiba. The person having the key of Kaaba is called ‘Sadin’.
According to Islamic beliefs, after Mecca Fatah, Prophet Muhammad gave himself the responsibility of keeping the key to the Kaba. Since then till today, whether King or any rule, Kaaba’s key remains only with this family. The King of Saudi Arabia also has to take the key from the Shaiba family to go inside.
