The Shubman Gill-led Indian cricket team are currently locking horns with England in a high-octane five-match Test series. While the series stands in favour of the hosts, England, who won the first and third Test and are likely to see the result of the fifth Test go in their favour with the Ollie Pope-led side needing only 35 runs at the close of ‘s play.
However, the Men in Blue are also just four wickets shy of a completing a win in the fifth Test, but it looks bleak with only a limited runs needed for the England side to record a win at The Oval. In their 374-run chase, a 54 from Ben Duckett and century knocks from Joe Root and Harry Brook, helped them cross 330-run margin on day four.

Seeing Akash Deep in visible pain after he was struck on shin by a shot from Harry Brook, Gill assured if he was fine as he was caught asking on the stump mic, “Injection liya kya tum? (Did you take the injection?)’

Notably, the incident occurred in the penultimate over before lunch on day four. Although, he managed to complete his over, but the impact had dropped on him. Meanwhile, former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar, who was commentating at the time, said, ‘It shows Gill wants to go back to pace again after lunch.’
With India needing four more wickets in order to end the series in a stalemate, the onus will be on the pace bowling attack, consisting of Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep and Prasidh Krishna. While Prasidh Krishna will resume his over from where he left, the Indian bowlers will eye to restrict the hosts and get the needed wickets in the opening hour itself.
