Namma Yellow Line Update: In its latest internal communication, IT services firm Infosys has advised its employees to use Namma Metro’s recently launched Yellow Line to travel to the office. The company stated that the metro ride can save a significant amount of time, especially during office hours. It further stated that the metro is reliable and is accessible to most of the employees, as it passes through some of the key areas of the city. Infosys also emphasised that the Yellow Line is expected to significantly reduce the traffic congestion in Bengaluru. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Sunday stated that the metro route will provide convenience to the IT employees, as its destination station is Electronic City.
Infosys, while providing details, stated that the “Infosys Foundation–Konappana Agrahara” station is closest to the campus, adding that the employees can save significant amount of time by using metro services. “Infoscions who work out of Electronics City should alight at the “Infosys Foundation–Konappana Agrahara” station, which is closest to the campus. After exiting, head to the Sky Walk — this newly opened entry provides direct and convenient access from the station into the Infosys Metro Plaza,” the email stated.

“We encourage everyone to try this efficient, traffic-free commute and help decongest the city streets, especially during peak hours,” the email added. The BMRCL had also stated that the frequency of trains will be increased during the rush hours to accommodate more passengers. Apart from this, the authority might also announce new passes for the employees to promote metro rides among them.
