New Delhi: Infinix released the Hot 60 5G+ in India on July 11, 2025, and priced it at Rs. 10,499, with the objective of selling to the cost-conscious customer segment interested in 5G connectivity. It is fuelled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, making it smooth, with long battery life and a feature-rich software experience. We are testing this device, and there is more to be said, but here is our impression of how it performs and its software, battery, connectivity, and sound.
It has a powerful set of specifications, such as 6GB LPDDR5X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5200mAh battery, which makes it a good option in the sub-Rs. 12,000 category. It is based on Android 15 and XOS 15.1 and has such exclusive options as a Folax assistant button. What is its comparison to other rivals such as Poco M7 Pro and Redmi A4 5G? So, what are its major areas, and how does it fare in them?

Infinix Hot 60 5G+ performance
The Infinix Hot 60 5G+ has very good performance at the cost. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset with the 6 nm process, which does not lag in performing daily operations such as browsing, social media, and video streaming. The 6GB LPDDR5X RAM makes multitasking smooth even when multiple applications are open. Casual games such as Candy Crush work pretty well, but the more demanding games like BGMI are limited to about 40 fps, not the claimed 90 fps. Thermals are also consistent; no overheating occurs during prolonged use, which makes it dependable for the budget user.

Infinix Hot 60 5G+ software
Infinix Hot 60 5G+ runs the Android 15 operating system with an XOS 15.1 user interface that comes with customisable gestures, themes, and capabilities such as Circle to Search and Floating Window. The extra convenience of the One-Tap AI button, which launches the Folax assistant when desired to check the weather or to open one of the apps. Nonetheless, the software has evident bloatware, such as apps that are pre-installed and clutter the user interface. Although some are removable, the cluttered interface can be too disruptive to users. Infinix offers 2 years of security patches; however, there is no clarity on the big Android updates, which fall behind competitors such as the Redmi A4 5G, which has stronger software support.

Infinix Hot 60 5G+ battery
A main highlight is the 5200mAh battery that easily makes it through a day of mixed use, streaming, making calls, and some light gaming. It provided 6-7 hours of screen-on in our tests. The 18W charger comes with charges in approximately two hours, which is not as fast as the 33W charging on the Infinix Hot 60 Pro. Such functions as reverse charging provide versatility.

Infinix Hot 60 5G+ connectivity
Infinix Hot 60 5G+ has 10 5G bands, which means that it can be fast and future-proof as 5G networks continue to develop in India. It also provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and UltraLink to make calls using Bluetooth when there is no network coverage. There was a constant 4G LTE speed in tests, and call quality was clear. It is a bit of a miss not to have NFC, which is present in some of its competitors, such as the Moto G45. GPS and motion sensors make it easier to navigate and get into games. In general, connectivity is a solid point, which goes hand in hand with budget 5G competitors.

Infinix Hot 60 5G+ audio
Infinix Hot 60 5G+ has a bottom-firing speaker, and the sound is clear when making calls or consuming media. But it does not have the stereo system that some of the competitors, such as the Infinix Hot 30 5G, do. At louder volumes, the sound may seem flat, and there is no secondary speaker to immerse into the sound. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is a good addition since one can use some wired earphones with it to get a better sound. Moto G45 has a slightly better audio output for the budget audiophiles.

Infinix Hot 60 5G+ verdict
The Infinix Hot 60 5G+ is a cost-effective smartphone that has the specs to make it seem more expensive than it is priced at Rs. 10,499. Its quick performance, dependable battery, and strong 5G connection make it an optimal choice as a student phone, first-time phone, or backup phone. It is highly featured software, but it is bloated and unclear on long-term updates, unlike the Redmi A4 5G, which has a cleaner UI and commitment to updates. The sound is decent but inferior to the stereo speakers of the Moto G45. In comparison to the Poco M7 Pro, it is equal in terms of performance but loses in gameplay and charging speed. The Hot 60 5G+ is a good choice of phone as a cheap, 5G-capable option for casual users, although users after a more premium finish or a long-term software update path may want to consider alternatives.
