Indresh Upadhyay and Shipra Sharma tied the knot
Indresh Upadhyay Wedding: Vrindavan’s famous storyteller Indresh Upadhyay has tied the knot with Shipra Sharma today at the prestigious Taj Amer Hotel in Jaipur. Both of them are married. Both have been with each other for seven births. Storyteller Indresh Upadhyay’s family members and Shipra Sharma’s family members and special guests were present at the wedding.
In the presence of all of them, amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras, Indresh Upadhyay applied vermilion on Shipra’s forehead. The guests showered flowers and blessed the bride and groom. This event, which is going on for three days, is very grand and special, because many personalities from the religious, social and music world have registered their presence in it. The main rituals of the marriage, which were conducted as per Vedic customs, lasted for about 3 hours.
101 pundits chanted mantras
Amidst the Vedic chanting of 101 pundits, Indresh Upadhyay and Shipra took seven rounds with Agni as witness. Shipra Sharma of Haryana will now go to Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh as a daughter-in-law. To welcome the daughter-in-law, grand preparations have been made at Indresh Upadhyay’s house located on Ramanreti Marg in Vrindavan. The whole house is being decorated with flowers. Sadhus and saints from Vrindavan, Kashi, Nashik, Ujjain, Ayodhya, Kedarnath and Badrinath have also participated in this wedding ceremony.
Banquet organized at 6 pm
Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Shastri, singer B Praak and well-known story tellers have arrived to attend the wedding. Kumar Vishwas has also participated in the marriage. Acharya Pundarik Goswami and narrator Chitralekha also witnessed the marriage. A banquet will be organized at 6 pm. Indresh reached Jaipur with his family on Wednesday. Haldi and henna ceremony was organized on Thursday morning.
Indresh applied mehendi to Shipra. There was music in the evening, which became an attractive part of the marriage ceremony. The program started with the dance of Indresh’s parents, the famous Ramkatha and storyteller Krishna Chandra Thakur and his wife. Famous Bollywood singer B Praak sang songs in this ceremony. B Praak is a friend of Indresh.
