Terminal-1 of Indore Airport was inaugurated by CM Mohan Yadav. The new terminal will have modern facilities and will have the capacity to handle 15 lakh passengers every year. The government is rapidly increasing air connectivity in the state.

Manmohan Yadav on Sunday inaugurated Terminal-1 of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport, Indore. On this occasion, he said that this new terminal is a big gift for Indore and the entire Malwa region. He said that following the ideals of Lokmata Ahilyabai, new works of public service are being done under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

Aviation sector increased due to Prime Minister Modi’s policies

CM said that due to the visionary thinking of Prime Minister Modi, India’s aviation sector has developed rapidly. Now air travel is not limited only to the rich, but common people are also able to travel by air easily. Following the ideals of Ta Ahilyabai, new works of public service are being done under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.

Indore Airport gets international recognition and quality certificate

The better air facilities of Indore have been honored by the American Quality Council by giving them a certificate. The CM handed over this certificate to the airport officials and congratulated them.

World class facilities will be available in the new terminal

The new terminal has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 50 crore.

  • Capacity to handle 400 passengers per hour
  • 14 check-in counter
  • seating facility for 300 passengers
  • Construction in 6000 square meter area
  • Capacity of 15 lakh passengers annually

Apart from this, there are also facilities like operation of 18 flights, parking of 150 vehicles and VIP room.

‘Udaan Yatri Cafe’ started, cheap tea and snacks will be available

A special “Udaan Yatri Café” will be started for passengers, where tea will be available for Rs 10 and breakfast for Rs 20. This facility will prove to be a great relief for the passengers.

Patients will benefit from air ambulance service

CM said that air ambulance service has been started in the state, due to which serious patients are being transported to big hospitals quickly.

Target to build airport every 150 km

  • Air connectivity is being increased rapidly in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Currently there are 8 airports, 20 airstrips and 220 helipads.
  • New airports have started in Rewa, Satna and Datia.
  • New airports will also be built in Ujjain and Shivpuri

The government aims to:

  • Airport every 150 km
  • Airstrip every 75 km
  • Helipad every 45 km

Madhya Pradesh is becoming a logistics hub

CM said that Madhya Pradesh is developing rapidly due to the expansion of road, rail and air services. Due to new connectivity and infrastructure, the state is becoming the logistics hub of the country.

Many leaders and public representatives were present in the program

Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu participated in the program virtually. Many people including MP Shankar Lalwani, Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Usha Thakur, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava were present.
