IndiGo is taking another major leap in its international expansion. Starting October 26, 2025, the airline will begin daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow Airport (LHR), one of the world’s busiest and most connected hubs.
This new route marks IndiGo’s second destination in the United Kingdom, following the successful launch of Mumbai–Manchester earlier this year.
Flight Schedule: Mumbai–London Heathrow
As per the schedule shared by the airline, its flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow will operate daily, ensuring convenient departure and arrival times for both business and leisure travellers.
The schedule is designed to allow same-day connections to major domestic and international destinations across IndiGo’s network.

Expanding to London’s Largest Gateway
Heathrow isn’t just another airport; it’s Europe’s main aviation hub and a global connection point for travellers heading across continents. For Indian passengers, this new route means easier access to the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond, without lengthy layovers.
For travellers from the west, the Mumbai–Heathrow link will open up connections to over 90 domestic destinations in IndiGo’s network, plus key routes in South and Southeast Asia and Central Asia.
What to Expect on the Mumbai–London Route
IndiGo will operate the route using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on wet/damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways. The widebody jet features two cabin options:
- Economy Class
- IndiGoStretch – the airline’s new premium product designed for extra comfort.
Passengers in both cabins will receive complimentary hot meals and beverages inspired by Indian and international cuisines. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase in Economy and complimentary for IndiGoStretch customers.
Each seat comes with personal entertainment screens, offering around 300 hours of content for long-haul comfort.

A Strategic Step Forward

Ross Baker, Chief Customer Officer at Heathrow, welcomed IndiGo’s arrival, noting that the new service would “strengthen the vital ties between the UK and India” and “create opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.”
Why This Route Matters
