Mumbai to Phuket IndiGo Flight: An indigo aircraft going from Mumbai to Fuket received a threatening message. The aircraft was above the Bay of Bengal at that time. He has been landed at Chennai Airport. A safety check of the aircraft was conducted.
Indigo flight diverted: An Indigo flight going from Mumbai to Thailand was diverted to Chennai on Friday. The aircraft was threatened with safety. Indigo’s Airbus A320 aircraft (Flight 6E 1089) took off from Mumbai at 3:33 pm. The aircraft was flying over the Bay of Bengal when a threatening message was found. The pilots then changed the path of the aircraft and launched in Chennai.
Aircraft landed in Chennai due to security threat
The airline said in a statement, “Flight 6E 1089, flight from Mumbai to Fuket on 19 September 2025, was diverted towards Chennai due to the threat of security in the aircraft. According to the established protocol, the concerned officials were immediately told in this regard. Necessary security checks of the aircraft were done in Chennai. The journey has been made for a long night due to the night curfew at Fuket Airport.
IndiGo said- security is our top priority
IndiGo said she “is making every effort to reduce customers’ discomfort. Customers have been given breakfast. Regular updates are being shared with them. The safety of customer, crew and aircraft is the highest priority for us.”

Security officials investigated the aircraft at Chennai Airport. According to sources, later this threat was considered a false alarm. Arrangements are being made to resume the journey for Phuket at the appropriate time.
