Now India’s digital payment system in Qatar has started UPI (Unified Payments Interface). NPCI International Payments Limited has started this service in collaboration with Qatar National Bank (QNB). This means that now Indian tourists can pay directly through UPI on the main tourist destinations and duty free shops of Qatar through UPI.

1. France- France became the first country in Europe in 2024 where UPI service started. Payments can be made from UPI to buy tickets at the world famous Eiffel Tower in Paris.
2. United Arab Emirates (UAE)- UPI facility has started in the United Arab Emirates from 2021. Especially in Dubai Mall and other big shopping hubs, UPI payment is being accepted through QR code. 5. Mauritius- In 2024, Mauritius implemented UPI and RuPay card services. Now UPI is accepted as a local payment option in Mauritius.

7. Singapore- UPI has started using UPI in Singapore since 2023. It is possible to pay from UPI through QR codes at all retail stores, markets, and tourist destinations.
8. Trinidad and Tobago- In July this year, UPI payment has been provided through BHIM app in Caribbean country Trinidad and Tobago. Due to this, the citizens and Indian communities there are taking advantage of digital payment.
