‘It’s a great achievement for me’: Harmanpreet Kaur

During the toss ahead of the second T20I against Australia, Harmanpreet was asked about her milestone, and the India captain said that it’s a great achievement for her.

“It’s a great achievement for me. Hopefully I’ll keep doing the hard work for the team and keep playing as much as I can,” Harmanpreet said.

“We are in such a stage of Indian women’s cricket that every time somebody takes a field, it’s always a historic moment. But this is an absolute special moment because someone amongst our crew is playing the 356th match, highest ever,” Amol said.

In 2025, she captained India to their maiden Women’s ODI World Cup title, beating South Africa by 52 runs in the final at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
