Why India’s Got Latent Season 1 Was Deleted From YouTube
India’s Got Latent Season 1 was a massive hit on YouTube. However, it came crashing down in February 2025 due to a major controversy. Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, appeared as a guest judge and asked an offensive hypothetical question to a contestant. The remark led to significant backlash on social media, and multiple police complaints were filed against Allahbadia for promoting obscenity.
On February 12, 2025, Samay removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel, stating that he would fully cooperate with authorities during the inquiry. Maharashtra Police also filed a complaint against both Samay and Ranveer for creating obscene content.
In November 2025, Samay revealed that he was planning to bring back the show for a second season.
