Anushka Sharma in Team India for the first time
Anushka Sharma, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was bought by Gujarat Giants for Rs 45 lakh in the Women’s Premier League auction. She became the most expensive uncapped player that season. Anushka is a right-arm medium pacer and middle order batsman. He caught everyone’s attention by scoring 44 runs in 30 balls in his debut match itself. Apart from Anushka, Kashvi Gautam has also returned to the team, which is another big change. Although Kashvi has played Test and ODI matches for India, this will be her debut in the T20 team. Uma Chhetri has also been included in the team as a backup to wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh.
Kamalini and Amanjot Kaur are out!
17 year old G. Kamalini has been dropped from the team. Due to poor form, all-rounder Amanjot Kaur and left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma also could not make their place in the team. Before the T20 World Cup to be held in June, this series will also play an important role in the selection of the World Cup team.
The first T20 match will be played in Durban on 17 April. The second match will be held on 19 April in Durban itself.
