Indian Railways Launches New Amrit Bharat On Raksha Bandhan; Check Timing, Other Details

Amrit Bharat Train Launch: The Indian Railways has launched a new Amrit Bharat train, numbered 14048/14047, between Delhi and Sitamarhi via Gorakhpur, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. This train will run weekly, enhancing travel convenience for people from Purvanchal and improving connectivity between Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.

Gorakhpur-Delhi-Sitamarhi Amrit Bharat: Train To Operate Once A Week

– Frequency: The train will depart from Delhi every Saturday at 2:00 pm and from Sitamarhi every Sunday at 10:15 pm.

– Route: The train will pass through Ghaziabad, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, and Gorakhpur.

– Coaches: The train will have 22 coaches, including 11 general second-class, 8 sleeper class, and a pantry car.

– Speed: The train can run at a speed of 110-130 km/h, making it faster than other express and mail trains.

What Is Amrit Bharat Train 

Amrit Bharat is a non-AC express train, which has sleeper and general coaches. The speed of this train is higher than other express and mail trains. This train can run at a speed of 110 to a maximum of 130 km per hour. It has engines at both ends, which run on push and pull technology.

Schedule Of Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat 

– Delhi to Sitamarhi (14048):

    – Departure from Delhi: Every Saturday at 2:00 pm

    – Arrival at Gorakhpur: Next day at 3:15 am

    – Arrival at Sitamarhi: 10:45 am

– Sitamarhi to Delhi (14047):

    – Departure from Sitamarhi: Every Sunday at 10:15 pm

    – Arrival at Gorakhpur: Next day at 5:25 am

    – Arrival at Delhi: 10:40 pm

Bihar’s Seventh Amrit Bharat Train

The new train is the seventh Amrit Bharat train to be received by Bihar from Indian Railways. With this addition, three Amrit Bharat trains are now running via Gorakhpur, further enhancing connectivity in the region.

– Gomti Nagar-Darbhanga Weekly Amrit Bharat Train (15561/15562): Running from July 26

– Bapudham Motihari-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Bi-Weekly Express (15567/15568): Running from July 29

– Anand Vihar-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Train (15557/15558): Running via Ayodhya and Gorakhpur
