Eating on the ground
Sitting on the ground is considered beneficial for health. This helps in digesting food quickly. In Japan too, food is eaten by sitting down. There is a small table, on which food is kept and people sit on it by laying the mat. This habit of eating food there matches the Indian style.

Honor and humility behavior
In India, there is a tradition to bow to elders, talk with their feet and respect. The same thing also reflects in Japanese culture. There the head is bowed down. It shows humble nature and respect for others. Respect is considered the most important quality in both countries.
Trend of yoga and meditation
Yoga and meditation is an important part of lifestyle. Meditation in Japan is called Jajen. This is a method of sitting in one place and meditating. People of Japan regularly practice meditation and yoga. This is considered beneficial for keeping mental health right, increasing concentration and over all health.

Habit of eating
Prayer and later thanks are done in India before eating, similarly in Japan, before starting food, ‘ITADAKMASU’ and ‘Goshisama Deshita’ after eating. This is done to show both of them to eat and thank you.
Simplicity
The lifestyle and food of the Japanese is also full of simplicity. Waking up early in the morning, respecting nature, taking out jute and going into the house barefoot and many habits are filled with simplicity. But nowadays, due to busy schedule and many reasons, there is a change in lifestyle of some people in both countries.
