Dublin, August 30: Indian star Pranavi Urs finished in 15th place at the 2026 KPMG Women’s Irish Open, impacted by rain. The golfer from Mysuru scored two-under-par 70 on Saturday, bringing her total for the 54 holes to an impressive seven-under-par (69-70-70).
Urs was the only Indian to make the cut. Her compatriots Diksha Dagar, Tvesa Malik, and Avani Prashanth missed out.
Supported by Hero, Urs started strong with consecutive birdies on the second and third holes. However, she quickly lost her initial lead after dropping shots on the fourth and fifth holes. Not letting the setback derail her campaign, Urs made a comeback with a birdie on the par-4 seventh hole and added another stroke on the 10th hole. She concluded her impressive afternoon with a steady par on the eighth, finishing with a score of 70.
At the top, South Africa’s Cassandra Alexander is poised for a consecutive win after carding an impressive three-under 69. The 27-year-old faced a 45-minute delay due to heavy rain and achieved a remarkable total score of 18-under-par, maintaining a three-shot lead over her closest challenger.
Before the rain halted play, Alexander had a stellar front nine, scoring 33. Upon resuming, she endured a calm stretch of six pars before making a birdie on the short 16th hole. A bogey on the par-3 17th hole slightly reduced her lead, but following her success at last year’s Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, she remains the favorite to secure her second career LET title.
Chasing Alexander is Czech Republic’s Sara Kouskova, who stands alone in second place at 15-under-par. The two-time LET winner scored five-under 67 without any mistakes, including three birdies and a remarkable eagle on the par-5 seventh hole.
Just two strokes behind is in-form Swedish player Kajsa Arwefjäll, who delivered the week’s best performance with a nine-under 63. Her masterclass included eight birdies and an eagle on the par-5 10th hole, marking a strong comeback after a disappointing outing at the Swiss Ladies Open two weeks ago. Meanwhile, local favorite and Solheim Cup star Leona Maguire delighted the home crowd with a score of 63, featuring nine birdies, tying for sixth place at eleven-under-par. Maguire’s score, along with Arwefjäll’s, will not be recognized as an official course record due to the preferred lies in play. Maguire remains tied with Sweden’s Louise Ridkquist and Corine Widen, both at twelve-under-par ahead of Sunday’s high-stakes finale.
