Indian Embassy in Bangkok Replaces VFS Global for Visa & Passport Services from July 2025

If you’re an Indian traveller, expat, or business visitor in Thailand, there’s an important update regarding consular services. Starting July 1, 2025, the Embassy of India in Bangkok has officially switched its service provider for Consular, Passport, and Visa (CPV) services from VFS Global to Du Digital Global Limited.

This change means a new process and new locations for anyone needing Indian consular services in Thailand.

New Indian Consular Application Centres (ICAC) in Bangkok and Chiang Mai

As part of this transition, CPV services will now be available at two Indian Consular Application Centres across Thailand:

  • Bangkok ICAC Location: 10th Floor, PS Tower, 32/3 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
  • Chiang Mai ICAC Location: 1st Floor, Professional Accounting Services Co. Ltd. (PAS), Nong Pa Khrang Sub-District, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50000, Thailand.

The Indian Embassy chose these central locations to help Indian nationals and travellers access essential services more easily.

New Fee Structure and Booking Process

A new service fee of THB 11 (plus any applicable charges) will be payable to Dudigital Global Limited for processing applications.

How to Book Your Appointment:

Important Notes for Tatkal and Emergency Applicants

  • Appointment Timelines: Dudigital aims to offer appointments within five working days of request.
  • Tatkal Passport Applicants: Must visit the Embassy of India (EoI) in Bangkok before submitting applications at the ICAC.
  • Emergency Certificates & Tatkal Services: Will be handled through walk-in service at ICAC without requiring prior appointments.

Transition from VFS Global

As of July 1, 2025, VFS Global is no longer accepting consular or passport applications for the Embassy of India in Thailand. All services have now been officially transferred to Du Digital Global Limited.

Applicants must now book appointments and submit applications through the new Indian Consular Application Centres (ICAC) in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

Why This Matters for Indian Travellers and Expats

This transition aims to streamline and improve the consular experience for Indian nationals in Thailand. With new locations and a digital-first appointment system, the Embassy hopes to reduce wait times and make the process more transparent.

Pro Tip: Bookmark the new Dudigital appointment link and keep the contact details handy for a smooth experience.
