As the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 moves into the final knockout phase, all eyes are on Wankhede for the second semi-final between India and England.

The two teams lock horns today (March 5) and the winning team would join New Zealand for Sunday’s final at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

After Sanju Samson’s stellar knock in Kolkata, India qualified for the semis and meet England in this crucial encounter. The two nations have met in this stage in the last two World Cups, and have shared results so far. In 2022, England beat India comfortably in Australia, while the Indian team emerged victorious last time in 2024. Suryakumar Yadav and Harry Brook both have their personal legacy to write as they are on the cusp of a T20 World Cup final.
