India should not tell where to take oil … Trump will rise to know this plan of PM Modi!

India will not bow on oil purchase

Amidst the sharp attitude of US President Donald Trump’s Russian oil purchase, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that India will take decisions according to its economic needs and not under external pressure. At a rally in Uttar Pradesh, Modi called for a self -sufficient India and said that India will buy only the one who is made in the country or in the interest of the country.

In fact, recently the Trump administration has imposed 25% tariff on India’s US exports and warned that more strict steps can be taken if India continues to purchase oil from Russia. Despite this, the Government of India has not currently instructed oil companies to stop purchasing Russian oil. This means that India is not going to come under any pressure now. Decisions will be taken which are more beneficial in the interest of the country.

India will not bow on oil purchase

According to Bloomberg’s report, the government has not given any clear order to the oil companies to prevent Russian oil procurement. According to sources associated with the government, oil companies from both the state and private sector have been given freedom to make commercially beneficial deals. That is, the decision to purchase oil will be completely based on business interests. Although some companies have been asked to prepare a plan to purchase oil from alternative sources in view of American pressure, it is considered only a precautionary step, not any immediate restriction.

India targeted trump

In an attempt to increase the pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin, America has also taken a sharp stand on India. Trump criticized India’s active participation in the BRICS group and close relations with Russia, saying, “They can drown together with their dead economies.”

This statement is exactly opposite to the US policy in which it has been looking at India as a strategic partner in Asia compared to China, but now it seems that the Trump administration is ready to abandon this strategy so that Russia can be pressured.

Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller said on Sunday that India imposes heavy tax on the goods of America, “fraud” in the immigration system and buys Russian oil equal to China. He said, “President Trump wants a strong relationship with India and the Prime Minister, but now the truth will not be turned.”

Friendship in his place, national interest first

India has responded to American criticism with restraint and dignity. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that “our bilateral relations are based on their strength and freedom and should not be seen from the perspective of a third country.”

India also clarified that its relations with Russia have landed ‘on the test of time’ and it will take a decision according to its interests. However, trade talks with the US will continue and US representatives may visit India this month, but India has made it clear that America will not get a market in dairy and agriculture, as issues related to it are very sensitive.

Again on ‘Make in India’

Modi said at the Uttar Pradesh rally that in this era of global instability, India will have to become self -sufficient. “Now whatever we buy is made by India’s hard work, it should be our measure.” This message is the echo of his long -running ‘Make in India’ campaign, which has now become more relevant under the pressure of American trade policy.

The Prime Minister said that “the interest of our farmers, small industries and youth jobs is paramount.” Through this statement, he gave a clear indication that India will make a policy according to domestic needs and not due to any international pressure.

India became the biggest customer to buy oil from Russia

After the Ukraine War, India has become the largest customer to buy oil from Russia. India has taken full advantage of Russian crude oil available at cheap prices and now one-third of its total oil imports are coming from Russia. This has also increased the displeasure of America and the European Union.

However, America is expecting India to reduce the procurement of oil to put pressure on Russia. But it seems easier to put more pressure on India than China because America’s influence on China is limited, especially in sensitive areas like technology and rear-meaning magnets. But here too, Trump’s plan is failing.
