More than 300 Maoists surrendered in 24 hours

These Naxalites did not allow schools or hospitals to be built. They did not allow doctors to enter the clinic. They used to bomb institutions. Maoist terrorism was injustice to the youth. This is why the Government of India has made special efforts to reach out to ‘these misguided youth’ and bring them back into the mainstream. Today the country is seeing the results of these efforts.”

Number of Naxal affected districts reduced from 125 to 11

PM Modi said, due to the mass surrender of Maoists, the government has succeeded in reducing the number of Naxal-affected districts across the country from 125 districts a decade ago to only 11. Let us tell you that last Thursday, 170 Naxalites surrendered in Chhattisgarh alone. This is an area of ​​the country which has historically been battling the Maoist threat.

Congress always remained away from the public

The Prime Minister also targeted the previous Congress governments at the Center and accused them of being away from the people. “Unlike the Congress, we worked towards democratizing policies. This is the driving force behind Ajay Bharat. Congress had driven people away from banks. Poor people were afraid to go to banks. When we took power, half the population did not even have bank accounts,” he said.
