BhaMany countries are troubled by the continuously increasing power of night. In which terrorist countries Pakistan, Türkiye, China and America are also included. India’s enemies are unable to digest the fact that without any fanfare, India is continuously creating history in every field, which even those who call themselves a superpower could not have imagined.
Now there is a lot of discussion around the world that soon India is going to get permanent membership in UN along with getting veto power. After which India will become one of those superpowers which will directly interfere in the decisions around the world. This means that now many major decisions will not be taken across the world without India’s consent. Now India’s enemy Pakistan has also realized that soon India is going to become a permanent member of the UN and will also get veto power. Due to which Pakistan is deeply worried.
The state of Pakistan’s nervousness is such that now it has cried a lot about this in the UN and expressed its fear. In fact, Pakistan is upset to see the reforms in the United Nations Security Council (USC) and the increasing support for India’s permanent membership. Now Pakistan has openly started using its nefarious tactics against it. Pakistan has opposed giving veto power to countries potentially joining the Security Council. Along with this, he once again raised the issue of suspending the Indus Water Treaty from the United Nations platform and termed this step of India as a threat to regional stability. India had put a hold on the Indus Water Treaty on April 23 after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam last year. Speaking at the International Law Year in Review 2026 conference, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Asimkar Ahmed said that any reforms should not be such that they will worsen the fundamental flaws inherent in permanent membership and veto.
This was Pakistan’s direct opposition to India. In fact, India has been demanding reforms in the United Nations Security Council (USC) for a long time and this includes the demand for a permanent institution for itself. India has continuously raised questions on the current structure of the United Nations Security Council in international forums. India says the current framework of the USC is based on the post-World War II balance of power. Whereas the world has completely changed now. India has argued that being the world’s largest democracy and a major country in South Asia, it should get permanent membership.
In fact, recently, after Britain and Russia, France also strongly supported India for permanent membership. France had said that India should get permanent membership with veto power. France had also given a statement regarding this in the UASC Reform meeting. Apart from this, China always creates obstacles for India to get veto power. He had also recently made it clear that he has no objection if India gets veto power. America has also openly supported India on this issue.
