India Breeze Past Korea 63-31 After Thumping Japan In Men’s Kabaddi At Asian Games

New Delhi, September 22: India continued its winning streak at the men’s kabaddi competition in the Asian Games 2026 as Pawan Sehrawat’s side defeated South Korea 63-31 at the Tokai Citizen Gymnasium on Tuesday.

The Indian side set the tone from the opening whistle, combining aggressive raiding with disciplined defending to seize control of the contest early. Arjun Deshwal and Pawan Sehrawat led the charge in attack, repeatedly finding gaps in the Korean defence and returning with valuable points.

At the other end, India’s defence remained resolute. Ayan Lochab impressed once again for Team India as he helped restrict South Korea’s secondary raiders and prevent them from building sustained momentum.

India’s dominance was reflected on the scoreboard as they inflicted two all-outs in the opening half. The strong start saw the team take a commanding 34-14 lead into the interval.

South Korea showed greater organisation after the break, with veteran Jang Kun Lee spearheading their fightback. The experienced raider produced a series of running hand touches and escapes against the Indian corners and eventually completed a Super 10.

However, India’s sizeable advantage meant there was little danger of a Korean comeback. With the result largely under control, the Indian management rotated its squad to give the bench valuable playing time while keeping the pressure on their opponents.

Pawan Sehrawat continued to contribute with bonus and touch points, ensuring South Korea could not build enough momentum to close the gap.

India eventually inflicted a third All Out late in the second half and crossed the 60-point mark before sealing a convincing 63-31 victory.

The result gives India two wins from two matches and keeps them firmly at the top of Group A. With their attack firing and defence holding strong, India will now look to carry the momentum into their remaining group-stage fixtures and secure their place in the knockout semifinals.
