: Opposition coalition India BLOC is preparing to make DMK Rajya Sabha MP Thiruchi SIVA (Tiruchi SIVA) as a candidate in the Vice-Presidential election. This move of the opposition will directly challenge NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan. In fact, Radhakrishnan’s candidature was going to present him as South Candidate but the opposition failed it.

It is believed that on Monday evening, there will be a meeting of India BLOC at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, after which the official candidate will be announced. The last date for nomination is 22 August and the election will be held on 9 September. In such a situation, all eyes are now on the official announcement of India Block.

The BJP (BJP) on Sunday fielded Tamil Nadu BJP leader and Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan as its candidate. PM Modi described him as a leader of dedicated, humble and intellectual ability and said that he has always focused on social service and empowerment of marginalized people in public life. BJP President JP Nadda had hoped that opposition parties would also support the NDA candidate but India BLOC has already made it clear that he will field its candidate.

DMK has made it clear that it will only support India Bloc candidate. Party spokesperson TKS Elangovan said that the BJP is only doing electoral propaganda. He argued that making anyone a candidate only from Tamil Nadu does not mean that the party is Pro-Tamil Nadu. Ilngovan said that Projecting a Tamilian is not pro-tamilnadu. The BJP does not give the right funds to Tamil Nadu, against Tamil Nadu on every issue.

At the same time, Tamil Nadu BJP President Nanar Nagendran described Radhakrishnan’s candidature as a moment of pride for the Tamils.

This Vice-Presidential election is being held after the sudden resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar. It was officially cited as a health cause, but politics experts say that Dhankar had to withdraw due to differences with the BJP leadership.
