Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolor flag for the 12th consecutive time from the ramparts of the Red Fort on 15 August 2025. Along with this, 21 cannon salutes were given. Two MI-17 helicopters of the Air Force have shower flowers. Operation vermilion was placed on one and the tricolor flag on the other. PM Modi also addressed the people after this.
