IND W vs Sl W 1st Odi Match Result: The Indian women’s team started the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 with a win. In the first match of the tournament, the Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by 59 runs. The match between the two teams was played at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati. 47–47 game took place in the rain-interrupted match. Batting first, the batsmen of Team India scored 269 runs on the scoreboard. Amanjot Kaur, Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana performed brilliantly with the bat and ball. At the same time, Smriti Mandhana’s bat did not run in the first match of the World Cup.

In the first match of the Women’s World Cup, Sri Lanka women’s team captain Chamari Atapat won the toss and invited Team India to bat first. In response, Indian batsmen scored 269 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Amanjot Kaur scored 57 runs off 56 balls with the help of 5 fours, 1 six. Deepti Sharma scored an innings of 53 runs, while Sneh Rana’s bat scored 28 runs off 15 balls. Sri Lankan bowlers broke Indian top order back

Sri Lankan batting failed to chase the target

Deepti Sharma wreaked havoc with the ball after the bat
After the bat, Deepti Sharma spread the magic of her spin and destroyed the Sri Lankan batsmen. Deepti took 3 wickets for 54 runs in 10 overs. Sneh Rana also performed brilliantly and took 2 wickets for just 32 runs in 10 overs. Nallapurdi Chaini took 2 wickets. Kranti Gaur and Amanjot Kaur got 1-1 success.
