Ind W vs Ban W, Women’s World Cup 2025: The 28th match of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 has been canceled due to rain. This last match of the group stage was being played at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, but due to rain the entire game could not be played. 1-1 points were shared between both the teams. The Indian team has made it to the semi-finals, while the tournament journey is now over for Bangladesh. The shadow of rain was looming in this match since the beginning. However, the toss took place and the match was played.
Bangladesh made respectable scores in the match which started late
The match between the two teams started late and the match was of 27-27 overs. After winning the toss, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur invited Bangladesh to bat first. In reply, Bangladeshi batsmen played the entire over and scored 119 runs losing 9 wickets. Sharmin Akhtar made the maximum contribution of 36 runs. Apart from them, Shobhana Mostri also scored 26 runs with the help of 4 fours in 21 balls and took the team to a respectable score. Whereas, Radha Yadav took 3 wickets in bowling for India. Shri Charni got 2 successes. Apart from this, Renuka Singh Thakur, Deepti Sharma and Amanjot Kaur took 1 wicket each.
The victory of the Indian women’s team was ruined
Through DLS method, the Indian team was given a target of 127 runs in 27 overs. In reply, India scored 57 runs on the board in 8.4 overs without losing any wicket. Smriti Mandhana was batting at 34* off 27 balls with the help of 6 fours and Amanjot Kaur was batting at 15* off 25 balls with the help of 2 fours. Team India was moving fast towards victory in this match, but then the rain made its entry again. After that the whole atmosphere deteriorated and the ground became so messed up that it became difficult to play.

Pratika Raval got injured while fielding
Apart from this, the Indian team suffered a big blow when the team’s star batsman Pratika Raval got injured while fielding. While trying to catch the ball, his foot slipped and he got seriously injured by twisting his ankle. After that the physio immediately came to the field and he was caught and taken out. Because of that, Amanjot Kaur was sent to open with Smriti Mandhana in place of Rawal as opener.
