In this match played at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, India batted first and scored 240 runs losing 5 wickets. In reply, the South African team could score only 210 runs for 7 wickets. Abhishek Sharma took 2 wickets for India. Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dubey, Varun Chakraborty and Akshar Patel got 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target of 241 runs, the South African team had to lose the wicket of George Linde in the very first over. Ryan Rickelton scored 44, Jason Smith scored 35, Marco Yanson scored 31 and Tristan Stubbs scored 45 runs. Despite this, the South African team could score only 210 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.
