After posting a solid total of 202/5 in 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant performance by Abhishek Sharma (61), Tilak Varma (39), and Sanju Samson (39), the Men in Blue failed to defend the total as Pathum Nissanka’s blistering knock (107), Kusal Perera’s fine fifty (58), and Dasun Shanaka’s vital 22-run innings helped Sri Lanka to level the score and push the match into a Super Over.

In the Super over, Sri Lanka set a just 3-run target for Team India to chase after being restricted to 2/2 in their over. However, India T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav needed just one ball to finish off the match as he and his deputy Shubman Gill took the required run and sealed a sensational Super Over victory.
