The Indian team’s tour of Australia has ended, which was a mixed success. While India had to face defeat in the ODI series, in the T20, Team India continued its success on Australian soil and won the 5th consecutive series. The last T20 match in Brisbane on Saturday 8 November was canceled and Team India won the series 2-1. Despite the end of the series, there is no time for break for some players of Team India because now their eyes are on the Test series, for which 4 players including captain Shubman Gill will reach Kolkata first.

The 2 test match series between India and South Africa is starting from 14th November. Team India has already been announced for this series but almost all the players participating in it were busy in different series. While some players including captain Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah were taking part in the T20 series on Australia tour, star players like vice-captain Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Siraj are playing an unofficial Test series against South Africa A.

Now the India-Australia series ended on Saturday, where the last match in Brisbane was cancelled. In such a situation, the Indian team has now returned from Australia. While players like captain Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma will leave for their respective homes, Test captain Shubman Gill, Bumrah, Washington Sundar and Akshar Patel will directly reach Kolkata, where the first Test match will be played at Eden Gardens. The PTI report quoted a local team manager as saying that the four players will reach Kolkata directly from Brisbane and will reach the hotel by evening.

The rest of the players of Team India will reach Kolkata by Monday and join these four. Sunday 9th November is the last day of the test match between India A and South Africa A. In such a situation, players like Pant, Siraj, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav will join the squad on 10th November. It has been told in the report that the first training session of Team India will be held on Tuesday 11th November. Anyway, there is not much break before this series, so Team India can do only 2 or 3 training sessions. The South African team will also reach Kolkata on Sunday itself and go to its hotel.
