South Africa made a great start on the India tour and surprised everyone by winning the first test match. Now its eyes are on series victory and for this, Temba Bavuma’s team would like to perform similarly in the second Test match starting in Guwahati from 22nd November. But along with the Test series, South Africa has also started preparations for the ODI and T20 series and has announced the team for both these white ball series. While many senior players including captain Temba have returned to the ODI team, star fast bowler Enrique Norkhia has also returned after 17 months.

A day before the second Test match between India and South Africa in Guwahati, Cricket South Africa announced the squad for the ODI series starting from 30 November and the T20 series starting from 9 December. African selectors chose a squad of 16 members for the 5-match T20 series and Norkhia was also included in it. Norkhia was last seen playing in the 2024 T20 World Cup final. Since then, he was out of the field due to stress fracture and other problems but is now completely fit. Norkhia’s selection is important for the preparations for T20 World Cup 2026.

The captaincy of the T20 team is in the hands of Aiden Markram, who was out of this series on the recent Pakistan tour. Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, David Miller, who made a comeback in Pakistan, will also be seen playing in this series. Not only Markram, but most of the senior players who took a break from the series of both formats during the Pakistan tour have now returned. Fully fit Temba Bavuma will again be seen commanding the ODI team. However, Norkhia has been selected only in the T20 team, while star fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, who was ruled out of the second Test due to injury, is not a part of both these series.

The ODI series will start from November 30 in Ranchi. The second match will be played in Raipur on 3rd December, while the last ODI will be played in Visakhapatnam on 6th December. The series of 5 T20 matches will start from 9th December, which will continue till 19th December.
