Rain in IND vs PAK match in Colombo: Earlier there was a question about whether there would be a match between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2026 or not. But, when that question was resolved, now the weather of Colombo has created a hurdle in the great match. There are chances of rain in Colombo during the India-Pakistan match to be held at Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on 15th February. So will the India-Pak match be washed out in the rain? Will people have to live without seeing the match for which people were waiting with bated breath? Or will there be a reduction in the overs of the great India-Pakistan match? To know the answers to these questions, one has to first understand the weather patterns of Colombo.
India-Pakistan match will start from 7 pm
The time when the match between India and Pakistan will start in Sri Lanka i.e. 7 pm, the timing of the match will be exactly the same as per Indian time. This is because India and Sri Lanka fall in the same time zone. Now the problem is that it is raining in Colombo during that time. However, one good thing that has happened is that there has been a slight decrease in the rainfall forecast.
Rain forecast in India-Pak match reduced slightly
According to BBC Weather, earlier there were chances of heavy rain between 6 to 9 pm on February 15, but now there has been a reduction in it. According to the weather update picture that was released earlier, there was 51 percent rainfall in Colombo at 6 pm on February 15, 57 percent at 7 pm, 65 percent at 8 pm and 45 percent at 9 pm.
But, according to the weather conditions now, there is a 50 percent chance of rain at 6:30 pm i.e. at the time of the toss. Whereas at 7:30 in the evening it reduces to 40 percent. At around 8:30 it reduces further and comes down to 27 percent. The good thing is that the chances of further rain seem to be decreasing further.
What is special for cricket fans?
It is said that it is not easy to predict the weather of Colombo. But, according to BBC Weather, at present the weather condition there and the possibility of rain is visible, looking at it it can definitely be said that even if there is a delay in the start of the match. There may be interruptions in it for some time. But, it is expected to happen, which is good news for cricket fans.
