India beats Australia: Team India ended the ODI series on Australia tour with a spectacular and powerful victory and this victory was made more special by the two biggest stars of the team. In the last match of the ODI series played in Sydney, Team India defeated Australia by 9 wickets in a one-sided manner, in which Rohit Sharma’s brilliant and Virat Kohli’s strong half-century played the biggest role. Together, they made a partnership of 168 runs and easily helped the team reach the target of 237 runs. Young fast bowler Harshit Rana bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets and laid the foundation for the team’s victory.

Since the beginning of this series, most eyes were fixed on the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The performance of both of them in every match was the most discussed topic. In such a situation, more than the result of this series, most of the talk was about whether their bats would work or not. This is the reason that despite the result of the series being decided only in the first two matches, the last match entertained the fans the most because Virat and Rohit scored a lot of runs in it and every fan’s wish was fulfilled. Australia won the series 2-1 but the last ODI proved to be worth the money for the fans.

Rohit and Kohli stole the show but before that Harshit Rana did a real miracle. This young pacer from Delhi, who is facing constant criticism due to his selection in Team India, wreaked havoc on Australia’s middle order. However, before that, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh made a strong start for Australia and added 61 runs. Mohammad Siraj broke this partnership, after which Akshar Patel also achieved success. Then when Matthew Short and Matthew Renshaw were making Australia’s comeback, Harshit and Washington Sundar gave them continuous blows. From here the entire team collapsed for only 237 runs in 47 overs.

After this, it was the turn of Team India and this time captain Shubman Gill along with Rohit gave a good start. Both of them put the team in a strong position by making a quick partnership of 69 runs in 62 balls. As soon as Gill was out, Virat Kohli came to the crease, who had failed to open the account in the last two matches. But this time Kohli did not let this happen and celebrated it by taking a run on the first ball itself. From here, both these greats made an excellent century partnership, reminiscent of the old days.

Coming close to victory, Rohit completed his 33rd and sixth ODI century in Australia. Whereas Kohli scored his 75th half-century. Both of them made a partnership of 168 runs in 170 balls and gave the team victory by 9 wickets in just 39 overs. Rohit returned unbeaten after scoring 121 runs (125 balls, 13 fours, 3 sixes) and Kohli returned unbeaten after scoring 74 runs (81 balls, 7 fours). This was the 19th century partnership between the two in ODI cricket.
