Team India Probable Playing 11: After the end of ODI cricket action on Australian soil, now it is the turn of T20 series. The Indian team, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, is going to face Australia in a five-match T20 match series, which will start from October 29. This is the toughest and most important test for the Indian team before next year’s T20 World Cup because the Australian team is in great form in this format. In such a situation, the Indian team has a good opportunity to test its preparations, in which preparing the right playing-11 is an important part.
This is going to be the first T20 series of the Indian team after recently winning the Asia Cup 2025 title. There is not much difference in the squad that was selected for this series, which is being held in just one month, and in such a situation, there seems to be little possibility that there will be any big difference in the playing-11. Depending on the circumstances and giving rest to some players, some changes may be seen during this period.
Will Gambhir rest Shubman Gill?
Talking about the batting order of Team India, the curiosity here is about Shubman Gill. Gill was ineffective in the Asia Cup, while he did not bat in the ODI series either. Also, he has been playing continuously since the England tour and immediately after this series, he has to play Test and ODI series against South Africa. In such a situation, he deserves a break in the first match of the series. However, looking at the approach of coach Gautam Gambhir, it does not seem that he would like to give a break at the beginning of the series. In such a situation, Gill’s top and middle order is expected to remain the same as it was in the Asia Cup.
However, a big change could be due to the absence of Hardik Pandya and the return of Nitish Kumar Reddy here. However, it is not clear whether he is completely fit now or not. Therefore there will be competition between Reddy and Rinku Singh. As far as the spin department is concerned, Akshar Patel is certain to play but only two out of Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakraborty will be able to make the place and looking at the form, Kuldeep may get a chance.
Bumrah’s return, Harshit will have to wait?
Star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who was out of the ODI series, will show his strength in this series. The Asia Cup did not go very well for Bumrah, but a few days’ rest and the conditions in Australia will suit him very much. In such a situation, he can prove to be important for Team India in this series. Arshdeep Singh, who performed effectively in the ODI series, will complete the bowling attack. In such a situation, Harshit Rana may have to wait for the first T20.
