Australian bowlers wreaked havoc with the ball

Team India, who came to bat first, was left nowhere by the Australian bowlers. Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood wreaked havoc with the new ball. After that Nathan Ellis bowled amazingly. Kuhnemann also bowled good spin. Hazlewood, Owen and Kuhnemann got 2-2 wickets each, while Starc and Ellis took 1-1 wicket.

Mitchell Marsh single-handedly led Australia to victory

The target of 137 runs was reduced to 131 through DLS method. However, the start of the Australian innings was also not special and Arshdeep Singh dismissed Travis Head in the second over. But, from one end, captain Mitchell Marsh did not lose his wicket and continued attacking the Indian bowlers. Marsh remained unbeaten on 52 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from him, Josh Philip also contributed 37 runs with the bat.

Indian fast bowling looked lackluster compared to Australia

The way Australia’s bowlers wreaked havoc with the new ball, India’s fast bowlers did not do wonders. Mohammad Siraj gave 21 runs in 4 overs and did not take any wicket. Harshit Rana gave away 27 runs in 4 overs. Whereas, Arshdeep Singh got 1 success, but he did not look very impressive. He gave 31 runs in 5 overs. Axar Patel and Washington Sundar got 1-1 success in spin.
